# YIELD Token

The Yield Token (YIELD) is an ERC-20 token live on [Blast Mainnet](https://blast.io/). It functions as the utility currency within Crypto Valleys, primarily distributed to players who engage in farming and expeditions.

### Utility of YIELD

The following are some of the ways YIELD can be used within Crypto Valleys:

* **Seed Packs:** Players can purchase Feeble, Pico, Basic & Premium Seed Packs with YIELD. These contain Seeds of varying rarities, each with distinct drop chances and attributes. 
* **Upgrades:** Valley Upgrades can be purchased with YIELD and reward players with several economic and gameplay benefits, such as the unlocking of NPCs and new areas.
* **P2P Market:** Players can use YIELD to buy & sell in-game assets with other Crypto Valleys players.
* **xYIELD:** Passive players can stake YIELD and earn a share of Seed Packs' fees.
* **Adventurers:** YIELD will be the currency used to mint Adventurer NFTs, among many others...

### Token Economics

On March 11th (2024), **10,000,000 YIELD** tokens were minted and allocated as follows:

* **5,000,000 YIELD:** Public Release of Crypto Valleys.
* **1,500,000 YIELD:** Ecosystem Growth (Linearly Vested, 2y).
* **1,250,000 YIELD:** Founding Team (Linearly Vested, 1y).
* **1,250,000 YIELD:** Development Fund (Linearly Vested, 2y).
* ~~**500,000 YIELD:** Crypto Valleys' genesis distribution~~ (Reward was swapped to Seeds!).
* **500,000 YIELD:** Creators Guild (Linearly Vested, 2y).
